Amazon Prime Day vacuum deals 2024: the best early deals to buy now

We haven't tested this specific model yet, but we are big fans of the brand, and this vac packs a load of Shark vacuum technologies that have impressed us in other reviews. For example, there are sensors that adjust suction when they detect dirt, an odor-neutralizing puck that leaves floors smelling fresh, and a self-cleaning brushroll that siphons off hair into the dust cup as you clean. Ahead of Prime Day there's a massive 25% off – this is a deal we've seen before, but it's rarely bettered, and it's excellent value for a vacuum with these specs.

The market may be dominated by cordless stick vacuums right now, but if you want a true deep clean, a corded upright often your best bet for outright power. In our Shark Stratos Upright vacuum review we were impressed with the way the dust cup section can be removed from the wand, and a flexible hose swapped in for getting into tricky corners. There's currently $70 off at Amazon, and you can get the same deal at Best Buy.

Dyson Ball Animal 3: was $399.99 now $293.19 at Amazon
If you're looking for outright power, this corded upright vacuum will deliver. You can't wave it around above your head like a stick vac, but the ball design means the cleaner head will pivot every which way. It's perfect for deep cleans and bigger homes. The 'Animal' in the name refers to the fact that there's a De-tangling Motorbar cleaner head tool included, with is specifically good for tackling pet hair. However, there are other versions with different tools also discounted, on that same link. With 27% off ahead of Prime Day, it's outstanding value, and one of the cheapest Dyson vacuums you can buy.

Dyson Gen5detect vacuum: was $949.99 now $743.99 at Amazon
Sure, it's still not exactly cheap but this is a major discount on Dyson's latest-and-greatest vacuum. If you want top-of-the-range engineering, this cordless vacuum delivers, with a host of smart features all geared towards taking your dust-busting to a new level. In our Dyson Gen5Detect review we were impressed with the 70 minute battery life, the ability to capture particles as small as 0.1 microns, and LED headlights that illuminate dirt on hard floors. A 22% off discount ahead of Prime Day is worth snapping up. 

Shark Stratos Corded Stick Pet Pro: was £249.99 now £200 at Very
Pop code SHRKCLEAN20 in at checkout to knock 20% off this corded stick vacuum. In our Shark Stratos Corded Stick vacuum review we were super-impressed; this vacuum packs some powerful suction, there's anti hair-wrap tech to prevent against clogged brushrolls, and a bendable hose to let you clean beneath furniture with ease. The only potential down-side really is that it's corded, although the cord is long enough that you won't feel tied to the wall. And this really is an outstanding offer.

Shark Detect Pro Cordless: was £349.99 now £279.99 at Amazon
We rate this the best Shark vacuum you can buy right now. It's packed with smart (and genuinely useful) features, including sensors that will detect things like the edges of rooms and how dirty the floor is and adjust suction accordingly, for a super-efficient clean. In our Shark Detect Pro Cordless review we found it powerful and versatile. The current 20% deal is decent, but we have seen this vacuum for cheaper – so it might be worth holding off to see if it drops lower nearer to Prime Day.

Vax Blade 4 Dual Pet & Car Cordless Vacuum Cleaner: was £369.99 now £219 at Amazon
This Vax cordless vac has a massive 41% off ahead of Prime Day. In our Vax Blade 4 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner review, we were impressed with the suction power and swappable batteries, which deliver a total of 90 minutes cleaning time. The main vacuum can be a little cumbersome in handheld mode, but the flexible hose should be better for getting into awkward corners. There's also a motorized tool specifically for getting pet hair out.

Shark WandVac System: was £229.99 now £198 at Amazon
If you're looking for an affordable, versatile and lightweight vacuum for smaller cleaning tasks, the Shark WandVac System is a great shout. It's essentially a handheld vac onto which a floorhead can be added, and in our Shark WandVac System review we found it versatile and comfortable to use. The current deal knocks 14% off RRP. We see this offer fairly regularly, but it's rarely bettered.

Here's a great vacuum choice if you're thinking about going cordless. A mid-range cordless vacuum with strong battery life and multi-layer filtration, the Samsung Jet 60 offers a similar design to its more expensive siblings but trims the bells and whistles to focus on functionality and performance.

The Jet 75 also comes bundled with Samsung's Turbo Action floorhead, which is more effective on most surfaces compared to the Jet 60's Jet Fit multi-surface floorhead.

Yeedi Mop Station Pro robot vacuum and mop: was $799.99 now $559.99 (or $519.99 with $40 coupon) at Amazon
Yeedi might not be a household name just yet, but this impressive robot vacuum with mopping capabilities is just as reliable as the bigger brands. Its performance is solid, has a self-cleaning capability, and boasts a smart mapping feature so you know what it's cleaned and where it hasn't. Plus, this Amazon Prime Day, its discount has to be one of the best we've seen - offering a $220 discount and an extra coupon that knocks its price down to $519.99.

iRobot Roomba 676: was $269.99 now $148.99 at Amazon
A true classic, the oldie-but-still-goodie iRobot Roomba 676 may not have all the modern frills like mapping, but it delivers where it matters. Amazon customers praise it for its cleaning power and long battery life. Best of all, it's a cheap way to get on the robot vacuum bandwagon. It's also cheaper than we've seen all year with this 44% pre-Prime Day deal.

While this isn't the cheapest we've seen this popular robot mop from iRobot, you're getting a decent 16% discount with this deal, which is not too shabby if you need something now. It boasts Smart Mapping technology and plenty of customizations so you can really personalize its cleaning routines.

The Shark AI Ultra, which we awarded a 4.5 out of 5 in our review, is perfect if you have a massive floor area to cover and not enough time in your day to vacuum. It is very much worth the money with its vacuuming and mopping power and 60-day capacity self-empty base. It's 37% off for Prime Day, which is a fairly deep discount, though we have seen it cheaper in recent months.

Best for households with a serious pet hair problem, this cordless vacuum from Tineco has received a lot of high praise from Amazon customers that declare it a better - not to mention, cheaper - Dyson alternative. And its some ways, it looks better too. With this $150 discount on Amazon Prime Day, it's even more economical.

Cheap vacuums aren't usually worth the investment, especially if you're looking for something long-term, but this one is guaranteed to be robust, not to mention reliable, enjoying a nice 4.3 out of 5 rating on Amazon. People love its long cord and lightweight design, as well as its ability to clean carpets. And now, days before Prime Day, it's even more affordable, offering a 35% discount.

Gtech AirRam MK2 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner: was £230 now £222.89 at Amazon
The Gtech AirRam MK2 is a great option for those who'd rather not spend precious cleaning time fiddling about with settings. That said, at this price you shouldn't expect the world, and if you just want a helper rather than a replacement for your usual vacuum then this could be the one for you.

eufy RoboVac G30: was £299.99 now £183.99 at Amazon
The RoboVac G30 is a pricier robot vacuum that promises more powerful suction and smarter navigation. There are some downsides though, its battery life isn't as long as some of its rivals, and you can't set up virtual or tape boundaries to stop it from cleaning certain rooms. In our four-and-a-half-star Eufy RoboVac X8 review we were glad it included smart mapping features we could control where it cleaned, and found that it does a great job at changing its cleaning styles when transitioning from rugs to hard floors. But it is a little bulky, and it didn't pick up 100% of our debris during tests – so it might not suit everyone.
